It is the first Greek winery, built in 1861 by the bavarian Claus, who introduced the economic and cultural concept of the “wine château” to Greece. It is still in operation today and, in addition to being a winery, is a tourist destination for travelers, nature lovers, scholars, connoisseurs, wine lovers and ordinary travelers.
